# KSFD Ensures Deaf Voices Are Heard in National Sports Strategy
The Kenya Sports Federation of the Deaf (KSFD) has taken a significant step toward ensuring an inclusive future for all Kenyan athletes. The KSFD, represented by its President, Benard Banja, successfully attended a key meeting hosted by the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts, H.E. Salim Mvurya.
The high-level meeting brought together all National Sports Federations (NSFs) and was held at the Stadion Hotel in Kasarani. The primary focus of the discussions revolved around strengthening institutional synergy for achieving sports excellence across the board.
President Banja's presence was critical. His participation ensured that the unique needs, challenges, and immense potential of Deaf athletes and the broader Deaf sports community were directly addressed and heard in this national forum.
This proactive engagement marks a significant step toward a more inclusive and equitable future for all sports in Kenya, ensuring that national strategies for athletic development and success are comprehensive and truly reflect the diversity of the nation's talent. The KSFD remains committed to collaborative efforts that will benefit the entire Deaf sports ecosystem.
