Deaf Handball Federation of Kenya

Breaking Barriers Through Handball

Vision

To establish Kenya as a powerhouse in Deaf handball, inspiring athletes and communities while championing inclusivity, resilience, and excellence in sports.

About Us

The Deaf Handball Federation of Kenya (DHF-K) was founded in 2013 with a clear and purposeful mandate: to identify, develop, and nurture handball talent within Kenya's Deaf community.

From humble beginnings, DHF-K has played a pivotal role in introducing and growing Deaf handball in Kenya — transforming it from a little-known sport into a competitive discipline represented on the continental and global stage.

Through structured training programs, league participation, and international exposure, the federation continues to create pathways that allow Deaf athletes to progress from grassroots engagement to elite international competition.

DHF-K operates under the umbrella of the Kenya Sports Federation of the Deaf (KSFD) and aligns its programs with international Deaf sports standards.
